Jazz Kick - Harewood House
The Jazz kick team were booked to perform as the main entertainment for an evening of celebrations for an Asian wedding and cocktail party at Harewood House.
After consultations with the client on what theme and dance styles would work best for them. They decided they needed something attention grabbing, high energy, colorful and vibrant but also with class and sophistication.Jazz Kick was the perfect solution.
The team of six dancers performed some free style jazz in the reception, greeted the guests on their arrival and then went onto perform three sets through out the evening to Sing Sing Sing, Too Darn Hot, Charleston and a Blues Brothers medley.
The dancers certainly got everyone’s attention and put the life and soul into the party, “Everyone was raving about the wonderful dancers”

Jazz Kick is a team of six professional dancers that provide non stop choreographed dance shows, With a fusion of dance styles from Jazz, lyrical, Charleston, Musical Theatre, Fosse, Broadway and swing including numbers from Sing Sing Sing to Too Darn Hot.
The team have great energy and rapport and produce dynamic, fun, athletic and entertaining shows which are great for giving a lift to an evenings entertainment.
They have just been in the studio to film their show reel and are now in rehearsals for up and coming bookings the first being a performance for a cocktail party at Harewood House.

Auto exhibition – New Delhi - India

UDC provided a team of six female dancers for the 2010 Auto exhibition in New Delhi, India. Working with Black Hat Talent we provided a bespoke dance service for the Hyundai stall.
Two very different dance sequences were created as per the brief for the two cars, Hyundai Genesis Coupe and the i10 electric car.
They performed an American inspired Cheer leading dance number with pom poms with the typical cheer tricks and energy and a bespoke street jazz number with a modern futuristic feel. The dancers performed four times through out the day over seven days to promote these two cars at this prestigious event.

UDC provided a bespoke dance performance for the Rolls Royce launch of the “Ghost” The reveal took place at the Grand Hyatt Muscat in Oman.
The dance piece was created working with there existing advertising campaign for the “Ghost” the dancers were to represent the Spirit of Ecstasy the famous Rolls Royce Logo and the music was taken from the recent advert. We had costumes especially created with flowing material, which gave a dramatic effect with the use of wind machines.
The bespoke dance piece was elegant with simple lines and fluid movements using contemporary and jazz technique.
The overall effect was a great success and the dancers performed the dance piece beside the car for the press and the much anticipated Reveal.

14 AMP - Hip Hop Dance Company

UDC’s new Hip-Hop theatre dance company 14 Amp are in rehearsals for their summer 2009 tour of Turkey. We are very excited about our first ever tour to Turkey and are getting ready to bring Hip-Hop theatre at its finest to the Turkish Riviera.
The Company for this tour is made up of 14 talented dancers from the UK and there performances will rotate over fourteen 5 star hotels for the duration of their six month stay.
The Team of dancers bring their diverse talent to take you through a journey of love, life and death. Fusing popular Hip-Hop styles with contemporary, breaking, locking, popping, krump and gymnastics.
The Show is called Rome & Jules and is inspired by William Shakespeares Classic, Romeo and Juliet.
To an electric soundtrack of music from Beyonce to Bonobo the scene is set with a typical day at the beach. Two rival crews the Yorkshire pirates and the London lot each rule their side of the sand, an innocent beach game ends in an ongoing feaud.
With duets of love through to bboy battles, a high energy and entertaining performance, a modern twist on a classic tale.
This show promises to be the talk of the town !
New Team Member
Katie Holmes will be joining the team here at UDC,
Katie will be working as an event co ordinator initially concentrating on the Hen night dance workshops we offer but also getting involved in other areas of the business.
We have known Katie for a few years now as she is one of our dancers that we use on a regular basis for events and performances through out the UK.
Were really looking forward to having Katie joining the behind the scenes team here at UDC,

UDC are currently providing Bench with a team of six urban Hip Hop dancers for there store opening fashion shows through out the UK.
The team consists of three highly skilled Male Break dancers and three talented and versatile Female street dancers. They perform a fifteen-minute Fashion Showpiece four times throughout the day, to show the latest Bench collections.
The brief is to produce something lively, entertaining and different with in keeping of there branding and ethos.
The results are an exciting combination of Fashion and Urban dance using street dance, break dance, LA Krumping, House, contemporary and freestyle.

UDC Provided the evening entertainment for the NHS innovator London awards at the Café de Paris London.
With a Moulin Rouge theme we entertained the guests with a show girl number to Rhythm of the night and Diamond are a girls best friend to open the evenings proceedings.
Our aerialist Tink performed a dazzling display of moves on silks during the dinner and we finished the event with a 30 minute Moulin Rouge floor show including Lady Marmalade, Roxanne and the famous French Can Can.

The Orbis End of Year Party was held at Claridges Hotel, Mayfair on a 1920’s Cotton Club Theme. Four female dancers and one male tap dancer from the UDC Theatre dance team performed through out the night in 20’s costume.
Our team was there to Meet and Greet the guests, followed by freestyle while the lounge singer performed.
During dinner they performed our Cotton Club package show to the Charleston, Bo Jangles, Nina Simone, Mack the Knife and Louis Armstrong. A wide range of dance styles were blended to bring the show to life, including the Charleston, jazz lyrical, contemporary and tap

UDC was booked by Racingline Ltd to provide a team of four Hip Hop. dancers for this five day training event for the new Ford Fiesta & Ka.
The theme of the event was Streetwise reflecting the Urban cool and the customer profile that these two cars will attract – those who are young in age and attitude.
The dancers performed at the start of each day for the Car “Reveal” Performing an urban dance piece incorporating the cars with lots of audience pleasing tricks and stunts.
They then went on to perform at the evenings celebration of Ford small cars with a freestyle arrangement combining street dance, break dance and contemporary dance styles.

15,000 people packed into Albert Square in the heart of Manchester for the highly anticipated turning-on of the city’s Christmas lights.
UDC were booked by Manchester City Council to take part in the night’s entertainment, culminating with Shayne Ward flicking the switch to tumultuous applause and a dazzling firework display.
The theme was 1970’s and high-energy soundtrack was cut; featuring a medley of classic anthems such as: Freak Out, Boogie Shoes, and Play That Funky Music.
The tightly choreographed routine seamlessly combined typical 1970’s dance moves, with unexpected gravity defying leaps and tricks drawn from contemporary street and break dance – which drew enormous cheers from the crowd.
Unfortunately for the dancers, and the crowd, there wasn’t time for an encore.

An all female dance group performed a 20 minute cabaret show with in two outlets in this prestigious Hotel & Resort.
Performing in a variety of themed costumes this talented and versatile team put on a dazzling display of traditional and modern cabaret dance numbers.
Numbers: Moulin Rouge showgirl, Lady marmalade burlesque, 1920’s Charleston, 70`s Disco and modern street dance numbers to Pussy Cat Dolls and Beyonce.

Samba Dancers - Crowne Plaza - New Delhi

Four female dancers from the Latin Samba dance troupe performed at the Crowne Plaza in New Delhi, for there New Years eve celebrations, performing in there five restaurants in the hotel.
They captivated there audiences in there stunning colourful costumes and an energetic lambada, Samba, bachata performance to the intoxicating drumming music.
They certainly put a smile on everyone’s face as they welcomed in the New Year. Cast: Ella, Sarah Jane, Natalie and Ashleigh.
They received rave reviews from the management: “They really Rocked !” and were thanked for making there evenings celebrations a great success.
Sony - European Conference
UDC was asked by Sony to provide a team building workshop day with Tap dance as the activity for their Professional Solutions Europe- Kick off Conference.
With 400 delegates attending we provided eight tap dance teachers.
Once the delegates had collected there tap shoes the team started the activity with an introduction and a demo performance to give them a taster of what to expect.
They then took 50 delegates each into their breakout rooms and were taught the basics of tap and a stylised tap theater dance number including a jazz lift!
The 400 delegates then came together for a big finale performance and put on a great show of moves. The results were an incredible success!
As well as dancing the previous day in the Saloon bar with some cowgirl coyote style dancing the team of eight dancers then went on to perform at the evenings Award ceremony.
With a Space theme they performed two dance pieces including theatre dance, jazz, lyrical and street jazz to Jamoriqui Space cowboy and Cascada.
